Healthy Homemade Pizza Recipe

Have you ever thought about making pizza at home and decided to just order one because you thought it would take forever to make? Well, my family has been having pizza night for years where we all get together and eat pizza, so I decided to make one from scratch and WOW it turned out great and it was easy, quick, and cheaper than ordering a pizza. I got everything for my healthy pizza recipe at Trader Joe’s but if you have a Whole Foods store nearby, I’m sure you can get the items you need there also. I started with:
2 Trader Joe’s Whole wheat pizza dough. I let the dough stand for about 15 min before shaping
Trader Joe’s Lite Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Fresh Basil (I chopped it up really fine)
Trader Joe’s Fat Free Pizza Sauce
Low Fat Turkey Pepperoni
Fresh Mushrooms
Fresh Olives
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. If you do not have a pizza brick then use a cookie sheet and cover with lite oil spray so it does not stick.
Step 1. spread flour on surface to shape your pizza dough in whatever shape you want
Step 2. spread your pizza sauce evenly over entire surface of the pizza dough
Step 3. spread fresh basil over sauce evenly
Step 4. spread cheese over entire area covered with pizza sauce
Step 5. spread pepperoni’s out over cheese (mushrooms and olives are optional)
Step 6. put in preheated oven for 10-12 min or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling
Step 7. take pizza out and let stand for 5 min
Step 8. EAT and enjoy..
If you try this please leave me a comment on my blog and let me know what you think! My family loved it and now we can still have pizza and stay healthy working toward our health and fitness goals!

Can’t wait until I can add this to my meal plan. My daughter loves to cook and this is something healthy and fun we can do together.
